Terms of Service

These terms govern the purchase and use of a paid license for the Waypoint SEO Content Generator WordPress plugin, sold by Waypoint Software USA.

1. Who you are contracting with

Waypoint SEO Content Generator is sold by Waypoint Software USA (“Waypoint”, “we”, “us”), a software company based in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. By purchasing or using a paid license you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the paid build.

2. What you are buying

You are buying a license to use the paid build of the Waypoint SEO Content Generator WordPress plugin. You are not buying the software itself, its source code, or any transfer of ownership or intellectual property. Waypoint retains all rights in the plugin.

One license covers one site. A license may be moved between sites — if you rebuild, migrate hosts, or retire a site, you can activate the same key elsewhere — but it may not be active on two sites at the same time. Running one license across multiple live sites is a breach of these terms and may result in the key being deactivated.

You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, or publish the paid build or its source. You may modify it for use on your own licensed site, but modified copies are unsupported and we make no commitment that future updates will remain compatible with your changes.

3. Price, trial, and billing

The paid license is offered at $39 per month or $299 per year, in United States dollars. Both plans begin with a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is collected at signup, but no charge is made during the trial. The first charge falls at the end of the seventh day, and cancelling before then costs you nothing.

After the trial, subscriptions renew automatically at the plan interval until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; by purchasing you also accept Stripe’s own terms as our payment processor. We may change our prices, and we will give notice to existing subscribers before a change affects their next renewal. Taxes, where applicable, are added at checkout.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time, either from the account page or through the Stripe billing portal link we email you. Cancellation stops future renewals. Your license remains active through the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the paid features stop functioning and the plugin reverts to unlicensed behavior. We do not delete your WordPress content when a license lapses — posts and drafts already created on your site remain yours.

5. Refunds

Our refund policy is set out separately at refunds.html and forms part of these terms. It lives in one place on purpose, so that the policy you read and the policy we apply cannot drift apart.

6. What this software does not promise

This section matters more here than it would for most software, so please read it carefully. Waypoint SEO Content Generator generates text using an artificial intelligence model. The nature of that technology means we cannot and do not promise any of the following:

You decide what to publish, and you are responsible for what you publish. The plugin creates drafts and, by default, holds them behind a human review gate for exactly this reason. If you disable that gate, the consequences of what is published are yours. This includes any effect on how search engines treat your site: search providers apply their spam and quality policies at the level of the whole domain, and publishing large volumes of unhelpful content can affect your entire site, not only the pages generated by this plugin.

You are responsible for ensuring that content you publish is lawful, accurate where accuracy matters, appropriately disclosed where disclosure is required, and does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

7. Your AI provider is your own arrangement

Waypoint SEO Content Generator does not include AI inference. It uses whichever AI provider you have connected inside WordPress, under your own account and your own API credentials. You pay your AI provider directly. Those charges are not included in your subscription, we never see or handle them, we do not mark them up, and we cannot control, estimate, or refund them. Your use of that provider is governed by your agreement with them.

Provider availability, pricing, rate limits, model behavior, and model deprecation are outside our control. If your provider changes or withdraws a model, the plugin may need to be reconfigured.

8. Support and updates

An active license includes plugin updates and email support at support@waypointsoftwareusa.com. We aim to respond promptly but do not offer a contractual response-time guarantee. Support covers the plugin itself — it does not extend to your hosting, your WordPress installation, your AI provider account, your theme, other plugins, or the editorial quality of generated content.

9. Availability

The plugin runs on your own server, so its core operation does not depend on us being online. Two things do: license activation and validation, and the download of the paid build. We aim to keep those available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may take them down temporarily for maintenance.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the plugin is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Waypoint is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost traffic, lost rankings, lost data, or reputational harm, arising from your use of the plugin or from content it generates. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Termination

You may stop using the plugin at any time. We may suspend or terminate a license for breach of these terms — for example, sharing a single license across multiple live sites, or redistributing the paid build. Where a breach was not deliberate, we will normally contact you first and give you a chance to correct it.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page will change, and material changes affecting existing subscribers will be notified by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the plugin after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Jackson County, Missouri, and you and we each consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing here removes any consumer right you have under the mandatory law of your own country of residence.
