The short version: nobody pays before trying the plugin, your first payment is refundable for 14 days, and if you forgot to cancel and got renewed, write to us — we will refund it.
Every Waypoint SEO Content Generator subscription begins with a 7-day free trial. A payment method is collected at signup, but no charge is made during those seven days. The first charge falls at the end of the seventh day.
This is the answer to most refund questions. If you cancel at any point before the trial ends, you are never charged at all — there is nothing to refund because no money changed hands. You can cancel from the account page or through the Stripe billing portal link we email you.
If you are charged at the end of the trial and then decide the plugin is not for you, you may request a full refund within 14 days of that first payment. You do not need to justify the request. This window applies to the first payment only — the one immediately following your trial — on either the monthly or the yearly plan.
Subscriptions renew automatically, and we know that a yearly renewal can arrive as a surprise twelve months after you last thought about it. If you are renewed and have not used the new period, email us and we will refund it. That applies to both the monthly and the $299 yearly renewal. We would rather return money to someone who did not mean to spend it than argue about it — so please write to us rather than disputing the charge with your bank.
These get conflated constantly, so to be explicit:
Cancelling does not automatically trigger a refund, and requesting a refund does not leave your subscription running. If you want both — money back and no future charges — just say so in your email and we will handle both at once.
We do not pro-rate. Outside the situations above, cancelling part-way through a month or a year does not produce a partial refund for the unused remainder. Instead, your access continues for the full period you paid for and the subscription simply does not renew. You keep what you bought until it expires.
This one is worth its own paragraph. Waypoint SEO Content Generator does not include AI inference — it uses the AI provider you connected in WordPress, under your own account and your own API credentials. Your provider bills you directly and that money never passes through us. We cannot see those charges, we do not mark them up, and we cannot refund them, including any amount you ran up while generating content.
If you are concerned about provider spend, set spending limits inside your provider's own dashboard before you generate at volume. A refund from us returns what you paid us for the plugin license, and nothing more.
A refunded license is deactivated. The paid build stops validating, stops receiving updates, and its Pro features stop working on your site. Content already generated and saved in WordPress is yours and stays where it is — we do not delete or alter your posts, drafts, or media. You are welcome to keep using the free version from WordPress.org.
Email support@waypointsoftwareusa.com and include either the email address you purchased with or your license key, so we can find the subscription. A sentence about what went wrong is welcome but not required.
We reply within 2 business days. If you have not heard from us in that time, assume the email went astray and send it again rather than assuming you were ignored.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, processed through Stripe. Once we issue it, expect 5–10 business days for your bank or card issuer to post it to your statement — that part is out of our hands and varies by bank.
If you believe you are owed money, write to us first. We can usually resolve it the same day. A chargeback takes weeks, locks the funds while the bank investigates, and often results in the license being deactivated before anyone has looked at the merits. We are a small company and we would genuinely rather just sort it out with you directly.

Nothing on this page limits or removes any right you have under the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence. Where your statutory rights are more generous than this policy, your statutory rights apply.
